Yep, we’re unapologetically picky, and proud of it! If you’ve been following along on our quest to create a kinder world, you’ll know that our primary goal is to make it easier to do good. As Kindhumans, we are committed to elevating a global community, sharing ethical, good-for-the-planet commerce, and supporting world-changing causes. These “three c’s” form the core of our brand and we stand by them each and every day in all ways.  

We believe that consumption is activism. As consumers, we cast a vote for our values with every purchase we make.  A kinder world, and a kinder example for future generations, means opting for products that make the health of people and the planet a priority. That’s why our Kindhumans marketplace aims to make it easier for everyone to be a conscious consumer. Where we invest our dollars (and what we bring into our homes) matter more than ever these days. And yet, it’s also hard to know what’s what – we totally get it. Terms like “sustainable” “organic” and “all-natural” get thrown around a lot, but what do they really mean? And how can you really be sure what’s in the products you are buying? Let’s break a few of these terms down first…

Our Standards

When you purchase a product through our Kindhumans marketplace, you can rest assured that it will be…

• Eco-friendly: Causes no harm to the environment
• Sustainable: Made in a way that supports the earth’s natural capacity to produce and sustain while causing no harm to humans, the planet’s biodiversity or anything else on our planet
• Ethically-made: Ensures fair labor practices and working conditions, as well as harmlessness towards the environment in production 
• Cruelty-free: Causes no harm to animals through testing or production methods
• Free of harmful chemicals and ingredients: Our “No Thank You” list is a jumping off point for toxins we don’t tolerate. Think things like BHA, Parabens and Formaldehyde – known as carcinogens, allergens and endocrine disruptors among other things. Yuck!
• Guaranteed 3% giveback: With every purchase made, we donate 3% of funds to a worthy cause doing good for our planet and its people

 

It’s true there’s a lot on the market these days, so we do the research work for you by vetting products with our crazy-high standards. Curious about how we do it? Here’s a little bit about how we hand-select only the very best for you, your family, your community and the planet. 

Our Vetting Process

First step? Safety checks! We carefully consult with the experts and make sure every single product is free and clear of anything that might put you or the planet at risk—including all ingredients on our “No Thank You” list! Then we take everything on a test drive. We try each and every product ourselves. If we don’t love it or use it in our own homes, you won’t see it in our marketplace!

Once we’ve discovered a brand we like, we dig deep and learn about their process, their goals and their values as a company. We intentionally choose to work with like-minded folks and other Kindhumans – because we’re in the business of building a sustainable future for everyone, and everything, on this planet.
