Women's Boxy Off-white 100% Organic Cotton Tee

This Tee Restores Kelp Forests

Why you’ll love it

We collaborated with SeaTrees to create an exclusive tee, featuring the art of Charlie Callahan. Wear your soft and cozy tee proudly as an act of activism—each tee supports kelp restoration science with SeaTrees. Supporting coastal ecosystems is one of the best things you can do to help keep carbon out of Earth’s atmosphere.

We designed the womens boxy tee with summer in mind! The fabric is light and buttery soft, with a drape that flatters every body type. If you are the type of gal that likes a more snug fit, we recommend sizing down.

Why Kelp?

Kelp forests grow up to two feet per day, provide habitat and food for over 700 species of sea life, and sequester carbon—an integral component in combatting rising temperatures due to climate change.

Unfortunately, over 90% of California kelp forests have disappeared due to climate change and the removal of key predators. SeaTrees is working hard to restore these lost forests, and when you purchase this collaborative tee, you’re supporting their efforts.

Wear your soft and cozy tee proudly as an act of activism—each tee supports kelp restoration science with SeaTrees—it’s one of the best things you can do to help keep carbon out of Earth’s atmosphere.

About Charlie Callahan

Charlie Callahan, signs his art as  S e e l I f e, as an affirmation of how everything in this life comes back to the sea, guiding our senses. He also goes by B a t r a y z, because he likes the shape, energy and fluidity; very mantra-like. Charlie was raised in Columbus, Ohio where he received a B.F.A. at the Columbus College of Art & Design, spent time snowboarding and climbing in Colorado for 2 years, and eventually biked his way from there to San Francisco in 2000 to begin a surf-inspired art career.

Why SeaTrees?

SeaTrees makes it easy for anyone who cares about the ocean (don’t we all!) to directly support communities planting and protecting blue-carbon coastal ecosystems. The most effective way to suck carbon out of the atmosphere—period. SeaTrees is also a close partner of ours, being one of the causes you can choose to donate 3% of your purchase to when shopping in our Marketplace for Good.

What’s In This Tee?

We chose organic cotton sourced from India and China for this tee because it’s free of toxic pesticides that go into making standard cotton tees. Why are we sourcing from offshore? Because 90% of domestic cotton has been wiped out due to climate change. By wearing organic cotton you’re keeping your body and planet free from chemicals that cause the world harm.

Designed and made with love and kindness in Los Angeles, CA, this tee is also manufactured using GOTS standards—the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibers. It’s free from harmful chemical dyes too—all of our tees are dyed in a chemical-free dyeing facility and printed using low-impact water-based inks, so you know you’re keeping harmful chemicals off your skin and out of our ecosystems.
