Teaching kids to be kind to our environment.

Raising kind humans is the single most important thing all of us can do with the greatest potential for making a positive impact. When we raise kind humans, we shift the collective consciousness and energetic field up a notch. In the end, the kind humans we raise become an extension of us and increase our overall positive impact on the world; and a world full of kind humans, is a pretty good world after all, right?

Did you know that nine out of ten people who visit the outdoors are unaware of their direct impact on the environment? This means that whether we know it or not, our actions in nature may be leaving a negative footprint on the beautiful places we love. Many of us within the Kindhumans community visit the outdoors to hike, surf, bike, camp, etc. Knowing a little more before we go, or including an expert in our group, can help us all become more aware of our environment. We believe connecting our youth to the environment early creates a deep and lasting connection to the great outdoors. Having this connection teaches youth the importance of our environment and allows them to grow into their greatest versions and better serve themselves, each other, and our planet. This is why Kindhumans has partnered with Leave No Trace, to provide research, education, and initiatives so every person who ventures outside can protect and enjoy the outdoors responsibly.

“I don’t care if our kids are the smartest or the most athletic, I just want them to be kind humans” – Suzi Wilkenfeld, Co-founder & President

Kindhumans and Leave No Trace have partnered to Promote Environmental Awareness in Kids through their PEAK Program. PEAK promotes environmental awareness in kids through hands on educational activities. The foundation of the educational curriculum is a pack of resources featuring colorful illustrations and short lesson plans perfect for elementary schoolers. This program, along with other Leave No Trace initiatives and partnerships, has helped them accomplish:

  • 95 Areas restored nationwide since 1994
  • 60,000 people formally trained in outdoor ethics
  • 235,000 Kids learned Leave No Trace in 2018
  • 15.5 Million reached through LNT programs

Through our partnership with Leave No Trace, each Kindhumans sticker pack purchase teaches two kids to be good stewards of the great outdoors.
